Bettridge School enjoys a range of facilities to meet the varying needs of the pupils.  It has a large school hall equipped with PE apparatus, and a separate dining area and kitchen. (Meals are cooked on the premises and cater for a variety of special diets.) In addition, there is an indoor swimming pool and changing area, soft-play room, multi-sensory room, food technology room, music room (with a range of instruments and audio-equipment) and library.

The outside play areas have recently undergone a major refurbishment funded by the Friends of Bettridge.  There is a separate play area designed for Early Years pupils and equipment for Primary and Secondary pupils situated in the main play area.  The amenity value of this area has also been increased through the provision of new fencing, benches, trees and shrubs.  The enclosed quadrangle in the centre of the school has been used to create a Sensory Garden for the enjoyment of all pupils.

The school has a wide variety of audio-visual and Information Technology equipment, including computers, printers, video equipment, digital cameras, scanners, DVD projector, interactive whiteboards and specialist switch devices.  An internet connection is available on two computers for the use of pupils and staff.  Pupils also have the benefit of two minibuses which allow them to extend their experiences beyond the immediate environment through a range of regular or individually planned activities and visits.

Many of the school’s specialised facilities were originally provided or enhanced through the fund-raising activities of the F.O.B. and are to a very high specification. For example, the soft-play room is on two levels and has an integral ball-pool and slide, and the multi-sensory room provides a range of light, sound, tactile and kinaesthetic experiences to stimulate and develop children’s learning.
