Tuck in to a FEAST of workshops and dance performance at Prema Arts.
Gloucestershire’s Velcro Dance Company is premiering its new performance, called Feast, at Prema Arts Centre, in Uley, near Stroud GL11 5SS, on Sunday, August 8.
Gloucestershire Dance is inviting families to bring a picnic and their favourite recipes and to enjoy an afternoon of activities and performance.
From 4pm until 7pm, there will be Rangoli workshops, a picnic, a recipe tree and a dance performance suitable for anyone aged 5 and above.
FEAST is a community event based around food, made possible by the county dance agency, Gloucestershire Dance. Those with disabilities are very welcome.
The Velcro dance company integrates disabled and non-disabled professional dancers. The company has appeared on Blue Peter, performed on the South Bank in London and toured in France and Poland.
FEAST was choreographed by internationally renowned Marc Brew, who is Associate Director Fellow with Scottish Dance Theatre.
Marie-Louise Flexen, Artistic Director, said: “Velcro makes you aware that we may all be different but there are some fundamental things – not least food and dance – that link us all together.”
