Discount Vouchers for ‘The Key’ Members for Summer Holiday Creative Activities
The Key, Gloucestershire County Council and Gloucestershire’s Arts Education Agency (Gloss) are working together to offer discounted creative activities for young people to take part in during the summer school holidays. We are working with major arts providers across Gloucestershire to provide inclusive creative activities at discounted rates for Key members. Please note only one voucher per disabled child in a family will be issued on a first come first served basis.
Are you a member of The Key? The Key is Gloucestershire’s Disabled Children and Young People’s register. The Key is more than a disability register; it is a proactive information service for any family in Gloucestershire with a disabled child aged 0-19 years.

Please note to receive discount on any of the activities below you must surrender your voucher on payment (either when you book or for drop in workshops on the day). Places are limited on each activity (with exception of family drop in workshops) so early booking is recommended.
The Roses Theatre, Tewkesbury 
In Tewkesbury we are working with The Roses Theatre to provide three linked summer holiday activities and as a Key member you can claim a £10 off voucher (on a first come first served basis) towards the cost. Adults free when accompanied by a young person.
Mosaic Family 2 Day Workshop (Age 3+)
If you enjoy arts and craft, you will love this dance inspired mosaic course! As well as helping design a piece of artwork to display in The Roses Theatre, you will create your own piece of mosaic magic to take home with you.
Cost: £25 (£15 plus your £10 money off voucher)
Date: Monday 23rd August (10.30am to 2.30pm) Tuesday 24th August (10.30am to 12.30pm)
Venue: The Roses Theatre café/bar, Tewkesbury (Please note there is no lift access to the café/bar for those who require wheelchair access).
Circus Mania! 2 Day Workshop (Age 8+)
If you’ve ever dreamed of running away to join the circus, this is the workshop for you! Try out skills such as tight wire, stilts, acrobats,
juggling and clowning and act out the Ring Master, as you experience all the drama of the Big Top.
Cost: £35 (£25 plus your £10 money off voucher)
Date: Saturday 24th July (11am to 5pm) and Sunday 25th July (10.30am to 1pm) with a performance to friends and family at 12.30pm on 25th July
Venue: The Roses Theatre Main Stage
Stories in Motion (Age 8 – 11 years)
Bring the wonder of Australian fairytales to life, in this dance and movement workshops. An experienced dance practitioner will teach you how to dance out a story and tell tales with your toes! The workshop is followed by an optional picnic in the Roses Café Bar before the performance of “How the Koala Learnt to Hug”.
Cost: £12 (£2 plus your £10 money off voucher)
Date: Thursday 29th July (10am – 1pm)

New Brewery Arts, Cirencester 
In Cirencester we are working with New Brewery Arts to provide two linked summer holiday activities and as a Key member you can claim a £5 off voucher (on a first come first served basis) towards the cost. Both activities are for the family, we would ask you to stay and support your child to fully access the activity or enjoy as a whole family.
Portraits in Clay (Family drop in workshop for all ages)
Have fun creating portraits of all your family in clay.
Cost: £8 per family (£3 plus your £5 money off voucher)
Date: Saturday 24 July (10am - 1pm)
Venue: Ceramics studio, New Brewery Arts, Cirencester
If I Woz an Artist….? (Family drop in workshop for all ages)
Build a dinosaur from junk, create a fabric peg doll or be the next Jackson Pollock. Try your hand at all sorts of art.
Cost: £5 per child (free with £5 voucher)
Date: Wednesday 4 August (1pm - 4pm)
Venue: Daniel Bingham Studio, New Brewery Arts, Cirencester

Museum in the Park, Stroud 
In Stroud we are working with Museum in the Park to provide a linked summer holiday activity and as a Key member you can claim a £5 off voucher (on a first come first served basis) towards the cost. This activity if for children with special needs and their siblings who are aged between 7 and 14 years old. Parents are welcome to join in as members of the workshop and support their children to fully access the activity (under 8’s must be accompanied by a parent or carer).
Mixed Up Mosaic Sculpture (Age 7 – 14)
Create a monster or imaginary creature using broken china, found objects and clay. You can also bring along your own materials such as buttons, shells or beads to decorate your creation!
Cost: £7 (£2 plus your £5 money off voucher)
Date: Tuesday 10th August (10.30am – 12.30pm)

Cinderford Artspace 
In the Forest of Dean we are working with Cinderford Artspace to provide three linked summer holiday activities and as a Key member you can claim a £5 off voucher (on a first come first served basis) towards the cost.
Caterpillars and Cabbages (Age 7 – 11 years)
Have fun making your own clay caterpillars and cabbages.
Cost: £5 (FREE with your £5 money off voucher)
Date: Tuesday 27th July (10.30am – 12.00)

Celebrate Summer in Fabric (Age 7 – 11 years)
Make a wall hanging you can take home using fabric, ribbons and beads. No cutting. No sewing.

Fantasy Towers (Age 10 – 14 years)
Explore textures in clay and create your own fantastic tower, house or castle.

Big Bugs (Age 10 – 14 years)
Use lots of exciting materials to sculpt an imaginary bug.
