Hegdehogs and the Olympics

Hedgehogs have been discovering and trying different foods from around the world to celebrate the Olympics. This week they tried food from Greece.

Toads Residential

Toads enjoyed their residential at YMCA Fairthorne Manor, Southampton.

Regardless of the wet weather we took part in all our planned activities apart from canoeing.  As a bonus we got to go on a boat trip down the river!

Everyone loved the week and asked if they could go back again next year!

Rabbits Residential

Rabbits enjoyed their residential at Viney Hill Christian Outdoors Centre, Forest of Dean.

We enjoyed climbing on the low ropes course, playing in the woods building shelters and jumping in muddy puddles.

Fish fingers and chips for tea followed by an evening film Dr. Seuss' Horton Hears a Who before bedtime.

A great trip enjoyed by all.

Water

This term we have been learning about water in Primary and yesterday we celebrated World Water Day as an end to the theme.

We walked water 5km around the playground raising money for WaterAid who have called for every person in the world to have safe drinking water within a generation.

28th November 2011

This term's been very busy.

Our parents ALL came in for a coffee morning, to get to know each other, they even popped down to the pool where we were having a swim.  They all thought we were working hard, and were being very clever.  Some of us were swimming without floatation aids.  No woggle, no float, no armbands, WOW!

We love swimming, and though we are finding it tricky are trying hard to help ourselves to get changed back into our school uniforms after swimming sessions.

Our other favourite time of the week this term has been PE.  We have some older friends (Year 7 students) from Dean Close School join us.  We think they are great fun and we all do the Hokey Cokey, Birdie Song and Fast Food Song together.  We do have a laugh!

We are now beginning to do Christmas themed things, ready for the big day.  We hope Father Christmas brings us something amazing!
