School Uniform

Bettridge School has a school uniform for all school age pupils.

The uniform consists of a navy blue sweatshirt with gold Bettridge logo; a sky blue polo shirt underneath with blue Bettridge logo on and black or grey trousers or skirt.

We also have a P.E. kit, especially for the out-of-school events that our pupils take part in, but it is also used in school. This is a sky blue t-shirt with blue Bettridge logo on and navy shorts or navy tracksuit bottoms and sport shoes.

The school sweatshirt, polo shirt and P.E. items can be purchased direct from our suppliers by obtaining an order form through the school. If you are unsure of the size your child requires, school hold sample sizes of all items which can be tried on prior to ordering.

Parents are now able to order school uniform online from Price & Buckland Limited. If parents prefer an order form can be downloaded as a PDF file and sent directly to Price & Buckland.

Meals

We have a kitchen in the school from which hot lunches can be purchased. The kitchen caters for the medical and religious dietary needs of all of the pupils. Prices for meals are available from the school office. If preferred, parents can send in a packed lunch for their child. Free school meals are available for those pupils who qualify under the usual terms. A form can be obtained from the School Secretary.

School Hours

The school hours vary throughout the school ages as follows:

Early Years

Pre-school pupils begin school on a sessional basis of either a morning 8.50 a.m.-11.30 a.m. or an afternoon 1.00 p.m.-3.00 p.m. These sessions are increased at a rate suitable to the child’s needs. KS1 pupils start at 8.50am and finish at 3pm. They have lunch between 12 – 1pm.

Primary Departments

These pupils start school at 8.50 a.m. and have a fifteen minute playtime mid-morning. Lunchtime begins at 12.00 noon and school begins again at 1.00 p.m. The school day ends at 3.00 p.m.
