New Fortnightly Saturday Clubs

As part of Gloucestershire’s new ‘Of Course We Can’ programme, five new year-round clubs are available for disabled young people aged 11-18. We will also be welcoming some non-disabled young people to these groups. Rather than ‘first come, first served’, priority places are for disabled young people who:
  • live near the venue, and
  • have had a CAF assessment or a social care core assessment following which identified needs could be met through taking part in the club, and
  • find it hard to access ordinary activity groups.

You will need to book a place; it is not possible just to turn up.

Please get in touch with the appropriate contact person below to find out more.

We know that there is a demand for clubs like these that last for four or five hours on Saturdays. Until we offer them, though, we cannot know how big that demand really is. So please get in touch with the most local club if you are interested (whether or not you are in the priority group above). Even if there is not room for everyone, knowing the level of interest will help us plan for the future.

  • Bushley Village Hall, near Tewkesbury
  • Whaddon Youth Centre, Cheltenham
  • Gloucestershire Deaf Association Centre, Gloucester (this is just the venue; the Saturday club is not especially for deaf young people)

Times for the three clubs above: Saturdays  11.00am-3.00pm – fortnightly from 30th October.
