Aims
Bettridge is a school in which both children and adults are challenged to do their very best.
We aim:
- To ensure a happy, secure and stimulating environment in which each individual is respected and valued.
- To provide a broad, balanced curriculum, which takes account of statutory requirements and is accessible and relevant for each pupil.
- To plan carefully to ensure that pupils are successful in their learning.
- To provide a variety of specialist therapies and facilities that meet the special needs of pupils on an individual basis.
- To encourage pupils to develop self-esteem, positive relationships and enthusiasm for life.
- To develop positive links with a wide variety of other pre-school settings, schools and colleges in order to provide extended opportunities for pupils.
- To ensure that pupils leave school feeling good about themselves and are equipped to live as independently as possible in their adult lives.
- To develop effective relationships with families by recognising parents/carers as key partners in the education of their child.
- To demonstrate a commitment to continuing professional development by all staff in order to enhance the education provided by the school.
- To foster understanding and positive attitudes towards our pupils by the community and by the pupils to the community in which they live.
